Week 5

Week  5, I worked in the training and development unit, I received the training registration form and i was assigned to organized the training program outside the company with the other companies with regards to the activities for the training program. I worked independently; I talked with all the participants in the departments, if they are suitable with the time and the day which is assigned for the training program. I also arranged and get the confirmation from the manager of the company so that the employees that may attend in the training will not be counted as absent. This week, I enjoyed working independently and that makes me enhance my capabilities and gained more self-confidence.

Week 4

Week 4, I worked in the Public Relation unit with Ayda and Alya, I used the employees affairs program to enter some of the employee’s grade and salary or if the existing employee’s   grade or salary has changed. Also I worked in the training and development Unit independently ; I sent emails to all the employees to let them know about the new training programs. Moreover, I received from the employees the certificates of their training which I had to put it their personal file. I really enjoy my work because I worked independently .

Week 3

Week  3, Aida which is in the Public Relation section as my mentor she introduced me how to make a letter with a heading, To Whom It May Concern, using Arabic and English language. In addition, she showed me how to encode in employees affairs program new about employee’s grade and salary or if the existing employee’s   grade or salary has changed. In the absence of my mentor Alyah, I was assigned to take her place in the training and development department, to organized Training programs for the employees and to discuss it with my manager Ibrahim of the Human Resources Department.

This week, it was quite a tough week for me because I was assigned in two sections due to the absence of my mentor Alyah. Although, I really enjoy my work because I was introduced with another kind of learning and they were able to entrusted me the place of my mentor Alyah.

Week 2

In this week, I worked with Alya which is in the Operations section , she introduced me with regards to the attendance program such as, if some employees will have a training outside the working place, how to make their attendance so they will not be considered as absent. Alya taught me also how to deal with some problems regarding if some of the employees cancelled her\his training program so it will not cause any inconveniences to the company and so with the training organizers. I worked with Ayda, which is in Public Relations section if how to enter the records of the ending insured services of the UAE national employee and for the new employee in the attendance program. In this week, I learned new skills by using various things in attendance program. In addition, I am glad working with my mentors for they are very accommodating with me.

First Week On Job Training

I am working in The Directorate of Town Planning and Survey. I worked with Alya which she is in the head of operator section, in processing the training allocation for the company employees. For example, me and Alya, were sending emails to all the employees of the company to inform them about the training program. In addition, Alya explained to me about the termination of the UAE nationals and expats, and she showed me the 2 ways of calculating the monthly salaries and allowances of the last month of working. I also worked with Asma which she is in the administrative affairs section to organize and encode all the contact numbers and the email addresses of the entire employees so that they can be easily informed at any circumstances, such as if their salaries has been forwarded at the bank. I was about to used my skills in excel and it helps me to make my work easier. I enjoyed working with my mentors because I was able my skill and at the same time I am learning a lot from them .
